Joyce M. Davis, 80, of Davenport, FL, formerly of Carroll County, died Monday, April 23, 2018, at Winter Haven Hospital. Born June 1, 1937 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Mabel (Close) Shaffer. She was the beloved wife of 61 years to Carl Edward Davis.

Before retiring she worked as a secretary for Rosewood State Hospital. She was a lifetime member of Pleasant Valley Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, the Westminster Moose Lodge No. 1381 and St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ in Pleasant Valley.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter June Zincon and husband David of Manchester; grandson David “DJ” Zincon, whom was her pride and joy, a sister Dolores Palmer and husband Merv of Finksburg; 2 nieces and 3 nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Debra Peters Wilcox officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
