Juan Manuel Garcia August 18, 1957 – January 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Juan Manuel Garcia, 61, entered the Lord’s heavenly kingdom on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Solara Hospital in Harlingen, Texas. He was born on August 18, 1957 in San Benito, Texas to Raul Sr. & Catalina Reyes Garcia. Juan served his country proudly in the United States Navy.

He was a medic and worked for trauma teams , as well as a life flight medic in Fargo, North Dakota. He loved fishing and his favorite quote was “Let’s Go Fishing Coco”. He enjoyed drag racing, going to car shows, going to the sports complex to watch softball games, and was always ready to help anyone in need.

Juan is survived by his loving family to cherish his wonderful memory, his wife of 45 years, Hirma H. Garcia; children, Juan Manuel Garcia Jr. (Esmeralda Aguilar), Erica Inez Garcia (Faustino Hernandez), Raul Garcia (Lisa Marie Resendez), & Vanessa Ann Garcia (Michael Munguia); 25 grandchildren; his parents, Raul Sr. & Catalina R. Garcia; siblings, Raul Garcia Jr. (Alicia), Ramiro Garcia (Connie), Angelita Garcia (Edward) Cordero, Guadalupe Garcia, Mary Jane Garcia (Pedro Cruz), & Mary Anne Garcia (Joseph Hernandez), and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Trinity Funeral Chapel.

The funeral procession will depart Trinity Funeral Home at 9:45 a.m. for burial at 11:00 a.m. at Rio Grande Valley State Veteran’s Cemetery in Mission, Texas. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Raul Garcia Jr., Ramiro Garcia, Juan Garcia Jr., Raul Garcia, Faustino Hernandez, Michael Munguia, Julian James Amaya, & Malcolm Garcia. Honorable pallbearers will be his daughters, Vanessa Munguia & Erica Inez Garcia.
