Obituary for Juanita Charlene Kreutzer Juanita “Charlene” Kreutzer, 78, Kearney, died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at her home. Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 16, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Amherst with Pastor Bill Heermann officiating. Private family burial will be held at Kearney Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church in Amherst. Charlene was born June 24, 1940 in Watonga, Oklahoma to Charles and Juanita (Applebee) Harper. Charlene married Alan Kreutzer on October 3, 1959 in Vista, California.

From this marriage five children were born, Greg, Gail, Jeff, Jason, and Joel. She was a devoted wife and mother. Over the years she held various jobs; she worked at The Villager, various hotels as a housekeeper, provided child care for many families, worked in the cafeteria at Emerson Elementary, and volunteered at the schools her children attended.

She also volunteered in the gift shop at Good Samaritan Hospital. Charlene enjoyed reading, sewing and crocheting. Charlene is survived by her husband, Alan of Kearney; dog, Tinkerbell; sons, Greg Kreutzer and wife Julie of North Platte, NE, Jeff Kreutzer and wife Candy of Kearney, Jason Kreutzer and wife Karen of Rapid City, SD, Joel Kreutzer and wife Rae of Portland, OR; daughter, Gail Fegter and husband Don of Moline, IL; 13 grandchildren, Kacy Munden and husband Charles, KyAnn and Kyndsay Kreutzer, Derek Fegter and wife Molly, Eliot Fegter, Siera Hehner, Christopher, Hannah, and Wyatt Kreutzer, Brooke Kreutzer, Morgan Aldrich, Sarah, and Michael Hendricks; 4 great-grandchildren, Owen and Dana Fegter, Lauren and Charlie Munden; brother, Charles Harper Jr. and wife Ruth of LaMirada, CA; sister, Adora Rouillier and husband Norm of Colleyville, TX.
