A Memorial Service for Judith “Judy” Gilmore, 80, will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church’s “Debt Free in Three” Fund.

Mrs. Gilmore passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018. Born in Wagner, SD, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Belkey “Bill” and Kathryn Hoey Knight. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Judy was a member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church in Lexington. She had the belief in life that nobody should be alone and she made sure that everybody felt loved. She is survived by her son, James “Jay” Franklin Gilmore, II, daughters, Kathryn “Kay” Lee (John), Lynn Ann Craig, and Marcella “Marcy” Shook (Ricky), sister, Kathleen Standa (Fred), grandchildren, Lyndsay L. Slocum (Scott), Benjamin R. Lee (Ansley), Jacob A. Lee, Amy M. Gilmore, Jessica M. Gilmore, Jason A. Gilmore, Walker L. Rogers (Tessia), Laura N. Martin, Allison M. Kellis (Clinton), and James Evan Remley, 3 step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Otto Davis, grandson-in-law, Charles K. Tucker, III, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Curtis Allen Gilmore, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and 1 granddaughter, Carra “Carrie” Tucker.
