Mary Barnes of Lexington, SC was the daughter of the late Fleming and Flossie Fulcher of Newport, NC. She married Woody Barnes in 1959. Woody preceded her in death in 1992.

Mary is survived by her three sons Woody, Jr. (Teresa), Brian (Lynn), each of Lexington and Corey (Andrea) of Chambersburg, PA, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Belva Manning (Ron) of Newport, NC, Shelby Wells of Wilmington, NC, and Betty Edwards of Morehead City, NC, along with many nieces and nephews. Mary retired from the University of South Carolina and always loved her Gamecocks.

Mary was a faithful member of the Twin Cities Church of Christ in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina. Her friends and church family were so very special in her life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Southeastern Children’s Home (www.
