Mr. Julius Lee Thames “T” Julius Lee Thames was born on January 25, 1959 to Prince Thames, Jr. and the late Willie Mae Thames in Monroe County, AL He departed this life on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Monroe County Hospital surrounded by his family. Julius accepted Christ at a young age and united with Lilly Baptist Church where he remained a member until death. Julius graduated from Monroe County High School in 1976.

He worked over twenty-five years at Frisco City Manufacturer and later over ten years at Standard Furniture Company. Julius was a family man and prided himself on seeing afterward his siblings, nieces, and nephews. Julius was a quiet, but caring man with a sweet smile and his pride and joy was his nieces and nephews.

He was a wonderful cook, a master fish fryer, and an obsessive cleaner. He was an avid Alabama fan and loved to brag to the Auburn Fans in the family. He leaves to cherish his memories: his father, Prince Thames, Jr of Mexia, AL: three brothers: John (Pamela) Thames, Peterman, AL, Alonzo (Jessica) Thames, Mobile, AL, and Fred (Jasmine) Thames, Mexia, AL: five sisters: Sharon Thames, Audrey (Timmy) Brown, and Angela (James) Horton, all of Frisco City, AL, Sharon (Reginald), Hunt, Mexia, AL and Casey (Robert) Williams, Milton, FL; three devoted nieces: Taminika Powe, Peterman, AL, D’ona Thames, Troy, AL, and Tamara Horton, Mobile, AL and other nieces and nephews: Adarius Evans, Tristen Lett, Alex Thames, Tabitha McCants, Charity Thames, A’Kyra Lett, Bailey Pullen, Braylan Jones, Jayla Thames, and Tristen Lett, Jr.; six aunts: one devoted, Minnie Carmichael; Hattie Logan, Louise (Hardy) Lawson; Katherine Jackson, Laurine Miles, and Mattie Mills, and a host of cousins, two devoted, Charles Austin, Gary, IN, and A’donis, “Lil Man” Adams, Frisco City, AL, other relatives, loved ones, and friends.
