Cherryville – Karen Kluber Smith, 67 of 768 Flint Hill Road, passed away, Sunday, April 8, 2018 at her residence. Born October 3, 1950 in Ada, Oklahoma, she was a daughter of the late Henry Theodore Kluber and Erma Berg Kluber. She was employed by Cleveland Vocational Industries.

Karen was a member of Fallston Baptist Church and Beaver Dam Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Kluber. Survivors include her husband of… Read More » thirty years, Loice “Butch” Smith; two sons, Steven Wayne Bowen and wife Jennifer of Shelby and Michael Alan Bowen of Shelby; daughter, Lisa Hamrick and husband, Ronnie of Shelby; two stepdaughters, Lori Smith Lewis and husband, Craig of Kings Mountain and Medlea Smith of Boiling Springs; 9 grandchildren, Justin Hamrick, Jessica Bradley (Seth), Alyssa Impeduglia, Andrew Impeduglia, Adam Bowen, Caleb McNeilly, Jared Lewis, Joshua Lewis and Seth Dyer.

Visitation will be 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, Wednesday at Beaver Dam Baptist Church A funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Runyon and Rev. Tim Elmore officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cleveland Vocational Industries, 650 N. Post Road, Shelby NC 28150.
