Brady Lee Cook, 85, of Polkville, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center in Shelby. Born in Cleveland County, on January 9, 1933, he was a son of the late Alvin Lester Cook and Ola Mae Towery Cook. He was retired from Carolina Dairy and a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Jane Hastings Cook; daughter, Brenda Cook; eight brothers, Russell Cook, Lester Cook, Ralph Cook, Ray Cook, Jerry… Read More » Cook, Hazel Sigmon, Gene Sigmon, and Howard Sigmon; one infant brother; four sisters, Gladys Beaver Williams, Mary Fortenberry, Ethel Fortenberry, and Evelyn Buff; and stepmother, Mertie Sigmon. He is survived by his son, David Cook of Polkville; daughter, Cindy McCraw and husband, Scott of Shelby; one brother, Clyde Cook and wife, Dianne; sisters, Reba Head, Ruth Davis and Katherine Crotts and husband, Dwight; two grandchildren, Chris McCraw and wife, Morgan and Nathan Cook; one great grandson, Gunnar McCraw. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:30PM until 3:30PM at St. Paul Baptist Church, Casar.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 3:30PM at St. Paul Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Fulbright. The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
