Kenneth Dean Cook, 79, of Peeler Rd. , Vale, passed away Thursday July 12, 2018 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. Born July 9, 1939 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Tillden John Cook and Sarah Alice Pruitt Cook.

He was retired from carpet and floor covering installation and was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. Kenneth enjoyed working in his flower garden and garden, mowing grass, rabbit hunt but loved to spend time with his daughter, granddaughter, great grandkids… Read More » and the dog, Precious. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Rudisill Cook; two brothers, Sherlon Cook and Gerald Cook; and sister, Linda Watson.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Ronald Elmore of Shelby; granddaughter and husband, Michele and Scott Malouin of Vale; two great grandchildren, Austin and Amber Malouin; and brother, Charlie Cook of Granite Falls. The visitation will be on Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston. The funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00 PM at Macedonia United Methodist Church.

Burial will follow in the Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery. A guest register is available at www. stameytysingerfuneralhome.com.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
