Paul Harold Cape, 73, of Cherryville, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at his home. Born in Gaston County on September 12, 1944 he was a son of the late James T. Cape and Beulah Hurt Cape. He was a retired from the US Army having served three tours in Vietnam.

He was also a member of The American Legion. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of fifty-four years, Marti Taylor Cape; fourteen brothers and eleven sisters. He is survived by two… Read More » sons, Brian Cape of Cherryville and Kyle Cape of Columbia, SC; three sister, Christine Thomas, Faye Mahaffey and Mary Ellen Hedgepath; and five grandchildren.

The family will have a celebration of life service on Friday, July 27, 2018 in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Oscar Hullender. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Fallston.
