In Loving Memory Karen Michelle Carlton January 20, 1975 – January 9, 2019 Karen “Michelle” Carlton, age 43, passed away peacefully at home on January 9th, 2019, after an extended illness. Michelle was born in Morgantown, West Virginia, on January 20th, 1975, to her parents, Richard and Tudy (Bartley) Carlton. At age 7, she moved with her family to Walla Walla, graduating from Walla Walla Valley Academy.

She received her B.S. degree in dental hygiene… Read More » from Loma Linda University and worked as a hygienist in California and Washington. She loved the opportunity to get to know and serve her patients. Michelle was kind and compassionate and went out of her way to help those in need.

She was artistic, an excellent singer, and enjoyed sports, camping, reading, painting and travel. She had a warm personality and was extremely loyal to her friends and family members. Michelle loved animals and showered them with affection, especially her soul mate “Duchess”.

The light of her life were her children, Summer, her daughter, and son, Brit, who survive her. She is also survived by her parents, Richard and Tudy; her brother, Samuel Richard Carlton and wife, Christina, of Susanville, CA; her nieces Lauren and Callie Carlton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Michelle was a wonderful, loving, caring person whose passing leaves a huge void in the lives and hearts of her family and friends.

She took great comfort in her relationship with her loving Savior and looked forward to being reunited with family members and friends at His return. Our family would like to particularly thank the many medical professionals, hospitals and others who provided compassion and care during her lengthy illness. There will be a Private Funeral service for the family at Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 The Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, WA with interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Michelle’s name may be made to the Blue Mountain Humane Society, Walla Walla Community Hospice or a charity of your choice through the funeral home. Friends and family may share memories and sign the online guestbook at www.
