Obituary for Karl LeRoy Judd KARL LeROY JUDD April 1, 1935 – September 21, 2018 Karl LeRoy Judd age 83, passed away Friday, 21 September, 2018 from complica-tions of congestive heart failure. He was born 1 April 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry Eli Judd, Jr. and Jennie (Jantje) De Haan Meibos. He has been a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) all of his life.

Karl lived a life of service. He served a mission for the LDS church in the Southern States Mission for 2. 5 years.

He served in the Utah Army National Guard and a proud Green Beret in Special Forces. He attended the University of Utah and Of-ficer’s Training School. Our father was always helping others.

He volunteered many places. His heart and many years were spent serving at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple in Oakland, California as well as for the STARS group for Alzheimer’s patients in Vallejo. He was a loving caretaker of his father in law, Jesse Johnson and his wife Marilyn until their deaths.

He worked as a Retail Clerk for the majority of his life. Karl was blessed to be married to Marilyn Johnson Judd on the 12th of October, 1961 until her passing in 2014. He was also predeceased by his parents, and his brother Thomas Eli Judd.

He is survived by his children: Valorie (Douglas) Dahlin, Victor (Christine) Judd, and Teresa (Conrad) Holbrook, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, as well as his brother and sister in law Gerald “Jerry” and Mar-garet “Peggy” Johnson. He made people smile wherever he was. Visitation will begin at 10 AM and funeral services with military honors will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 29 at the LDS Church, 110 Los Santos Court , Valle-jo, CA.

Burial will be private at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA. Arrangements entrusted to the direction and care of Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo. (707) 552-6696.
