Obituary for Kasonga “Eugene” Kumuamba “Eugene” Kasonga Kumuamba of Irving passed away September 21, 2018. He was born on September 1, 1960 in Lubondayi, Congo to Muabi Muana Sapo Kumuamba and Anna Nkaya Kasonga. Eugene will be remembered as a quiet man who dearly loved his family and was constantly in touch with them eventhough away from home.

He enjoyed working at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport rarely taking time off. He is preceded in death by brother Jacques Diulu Kumuamba; sister Muka Regine Kumuamba, grandparents Paul Kasonga and Martha Mutanga, Jacques Diulu and Rebecca Tshiamunanya as well as many loving aunts, uncles and many other extended family members. He is survived by his parents; brothers Nshimba Kumuamba, Karim Kumuamba, and George Kumuamba; sisters Rebecca Kumuamba, Josephine Kumuamba-Wagner, Mahassen Kumuamba, and Gaelle Mampuya; uncles Etienne Bote-Tshiek, Jean-Paul Kasonga, Pascal Kalonji, Leonard Diba and Alain Ilunga; aunts Anastasie Kabedi, Rebecca Odie Kasonga, Marthe Mutanga, Helene Nkaya, Pauline Tshiela, Monique “Zoe” Biakushila, Jackie Tshiamumanya, Kaba Diulu, Regine Tshiek; nieces and nephews Arthur Diulu, Andy Diulu, Emmanuel Diulu, Cindy Lumumba, Nathan Lumumba, Timothy Lumumba, Lea Wagner, Alexandre Wagner, Mouna Kumuamba and many loving friends and extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Abel Ditu officiating.
