Kathleen (“Kathie”) Isabelle LeClair, age 67, passed away peacefully at her home in Ann Arbor on January 17, 2019. Kathie was born on June 5, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan to Isabelle Jeanne Dietrich and Charles Clarance LeClair. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.

Kathie will be remembered for her compassion, humor, and generous spirit. She was a true people person who had a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Her kindness and empathy led her to pursue a career in Social Work, through which she helped numerous individuals rehabilitate their lives.

Kathie also had a passion for cooking and later in her life worked in the food service industry. She loved her family and friends dearly and found her greatest joy in spending time with them. Kathie is survived by her children, Lauren Benjamin, Matthew LeClair (Diane), and Jason LeClair; her siblings, Jeanne Liedel (Don) and Chuck LeClair (Laura); her nephews, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter; and her ex-husband and close friend, Mark Benjamin.
