Katie Asberry March 12, 1946 – February 18, 2019 Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Roberta “Katie” Kay Asberry, born March 12, 1946 in Reynolds County, Missouri to the late Samuel Ralph and Zora Louise (Gore) Crouch. She departed this life on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. Katie had attained the age of seventy-two years, eleven months and six days.

On August 29, 1963 Katie was united in marriage to Nathan “Tommy” Thomas Asberry in Carter County, Missouri. To this union four children were born. Katie worked as a nurse’s aide in the local nursing homes.

She enjoyed going to yard sales and collecting frogs, always loved to drink her coke with peanuts and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Katie is preceded in death by an infant son, Aaron Asberry and one brother, Wendell Crouch. Survivors include her husband, Tommy Asberry of Ellington, Missouri; three sons, Darren Asberry wife grace of Ellington, Missouri, Stanley “Peanut” Asberry wife Tammy of Ellington, Missouri, and Gregory Allen Asberry wife Rose of Centerville, Missouri; one daughter, Kayla Asberry of Ellington, Missouri; one brother, Tommy Crouch of Ellsinore, Missouri; one sister, Sheila Smith of Plaque Mine, Louisiana; sixteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one on the way; as well as a host of other relatives and friends left to mourn her passing.

Visitation: Sunday, February 24th at 10 am at McSpadden Funeral Home Ellington.
