Obituary for Keith Baker Keith Jay Baker, 68, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at home. He was born on February 1, 1950, the son of Albert Earl Baker and Elizabeth Jane (Crawford) Baker. Keith graduated from Athens High School in 1969 after setting many track records.

After high school he joined the United States Army and served faithfully in the Vietnam War. Upon arriving home, he married the love of his life on Feb 10, 1973, and began his family. Keith began working for Eaton Corp.

and later retired from the Federal Center in 2013. He and his wife were members of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Battle Creek. He was a member of the Athens VFW.

Keith enjoyed his family; he was family first, last and always. He also enjoyed spending time outside, caring for the yard, keeping things in pristine. Keith is survived by his Wife of 45 years – Leslie (Bishop) Baker; two Sons, Karl (Sabrina) Baker and William (Sara) Baker; three Daughters, Jean (Michael) McElroy, Jill (John) DeLong, and Stephanie Baker; Grandchildren, Saylor, Abby, Christopher, Josh, Catie, Kayleigh, Anna, and Ella; Twin Sister, Karol (David) Willison; two Brothers, Douglas (Jane) Baker and Kenneth (Susie) Baker; Brother-in-law, Brian Palmatier, and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and Sister, Beth Palmatier. Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Monday, August 6, 2018, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at 11:00 am with Rev.

Brian Coleman officiating. Interment will take place in the Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or the Disabled American Veterans Association.
