Kenneth E. Luecke, 86, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. He was born April 15, 1932 to the late Benno and Theresa (Kaiser) Luecke. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Sarah Luecke of 64 years; sons, Michael (Linda) Luecke, Joseph Luecke, Frank (Janet) Luecke, Philip (Lana) Luecke; grandchildren, Russell Luecke, Brian Luecke, Maximilian Luecke, Alexander Luecke, Ashley Luecke, Benjamin Luecke; 5 great grandchildren; and sister, Bonnie Ann (Gary) Schmitt.

Kenneth graduated from Memorial High School in 1951. He served four years in the Air Force during the Korean War in Africa. Kenneth was a member of the Bricklayers Local One where he served as the financial secretary for many years and left a legacy of his work in many of the brick structures throughout Evansville.

He was a member of St. Benedict Cathedral where he received the Bruté Society Honor and served as an Usher and a trustee for 17 years. He was also a member of the Knights of St. John’s. Kenneth and his wife enjoyed the outdoors especially gardening.

Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00pm Monday, March 18, 2019 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714 with a Rosary Service beginning at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue from 8:30-9:00am Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 Lodge Avenue, Evansville IN 47714 where a Mass of Cristian Burial will begin at 9:00am at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Benedict’s Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714 or St. Vincent De Paul, 767 E Walnut Street, Evansville, IN 47713.
