Obituary for Kenneth “Kenney” Henry Hendrickson Kenneth Henry Hendrickson, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, passed away at age 87 on Sunday, December 2, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Wilmer Hendrickson and Helmi Sofia Karppinen Hendrickson, and two siblings: Janet Pearl Hendrickson Smith and Sheldon Ernest Hendrickson. He is survived by brothers, Glenn Hendrickson (Pennsylvania), Jimmy Hendrickson (Michigan), and Clyde Hendrickson (Florida), and by sisters, Ethel McGarey (Michigan) and Violet Butler (Ohio), as well as eight nephews, five nieces, and numerous cousins and friends.

Kenny’s grandparents emigrated from Finland (surname Juntunen, later changed to Hendrickson). Kenny was born in Nisula, Upper Peninsula, Michigan, later moving to Rudyard, Michigan, and finally to Ann Arbor. He worked the family farms in Michigan and then assisted his father in carpentry, his profession.

On the Rudyard farm, he made hay using a tractor modified with a horse-drawn dump rake. A hard worker, Kenney was known for his craftsmanship, friendliness, generosity, and willingness to assist those in need; and for being a loyal friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
