Obituary for Kristie Lynn (Edwards) Hensley Kristie Lynn (Edwards) Hensley, age 40, of Erwin, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at her home. Kristie was born in Johnson City but lived most of her life in Erwin. She is a daughter of Sheila (Adkins) Bacon and the late Gurnie Edwards.

She is a Certified Nursing Assistant and a member of Hulen Baptist Church. In her younger years, Kristie attended First Baptist Church. She was in Color Guard in High School where she was Captain for two years.

She also loved basketball, reading and spending time with her boys. In addition to her mother, Kristie Lynn (Edwards) Hensley leaves behind to cherish her memory: Husband: Robert Earl “Bobby” Hensley, of Erwin; Sons: Ashton Silvers, of Erwin, Samuel Robert Hensley, Jr., of Erwin; Sisters: Kimberly Humphreys, of Erwin, Angela Delffs, of Erwin; Mother-in-law: Carolyn Powers and husband, David, of Unicoi; Several nieces and nephews. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Kristie Lynn (Edwards) Hensley in a funeral service to be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home.

Reverend Kim Casey will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by Reverend Kim and Tonya Casey. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 6:00 PM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 and will continue until service time in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home.

A committal service will take place on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Evergreen Cemetery. Those attending will meet at Valley Funeral Home by 1:30 PM to go in procession. Serving as pallbearers will be: Justin Nelson, Jim Humphreys, John Griffith, Matt Bennett and Ashton Silvers.
