Larry Lee Sanders, age 66, of Pounding Mill, Virginia passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee following a lengthy illness. Larry was born on May 10, 1953 in Lebanon, Virginia to the late Walter and Virgie Street Sanders. He was a 1972 graduate of Tazewell High School and a retired employee of Lowes in Claypool Hill.

Mr. Sanders was a member of the Road Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church. Those left to cherish his memory include Brothers Randy Sanders and wife, Nancy of Pounding Mill, Virginia Doug Sanders and wife, Rita of Thompson Valley, Virginia Nephews Tony Sanders David Sanders and wife, Emily A host of additional friends and extended family also survive. Funeral services for Larry Lee Sanders will be conducted on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 11 AM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with the Reverend Chester Mitchell and Reverend Mike Altizer officiating.

Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Tony Sanders, Adam Farmer, Eugene Dawson, Jerry Rowe, David Sanders, Benny Sparks, Ronnie Osborne, and Andy Miller. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 9 PM on Wednesday evening, May 22, 2019 at the funeral home.
