Larry’s Obituary Larry Phillip Rosenthal, 68, of Kansas City, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. He was born March 3, 1950 in Kansas City, the son of Eldon and Peggy (Stephens) Rosenthal. Early in life, the Rosenthal family moved to Mexico.

While growing up, he and his family would attend church every Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings. Larry and his brother and sister always went to church camp. When Larry graduated from Mexico High School, he soon moved back to Kansas City where he lived for 40 plus years.

While in Kansas City, he made new friends and attended church when he could. Larry had a passion for working on small engines, he especially loved working on the VW bugs motors. Survivors include his brother, Roger (Sara) Rosenthal of Mexico; and a sister, Marian Gibby of Joplin.

He was preceded in death by his parents. The Family of Larry Rosenthal will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Sunrise Christian Church, north of Mexico. A Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital or the donor’s choice.
