Laura was born December 14, 1955 in Ironton, MO a daughter to Harold and Alma Pinkley Tiefenauer. On June 16, 1973, she was united in marriage to Jerry McMullen, SR.

Surviving Laura are four brothers; Randy and wife Jeanna Tiefenauer of Fredericktown, Stanley and wife Deb Tiefenauer of Farmington, Patrick Tiefenauer of Pilot knob, and Eric of Iron Mountain. One sister Lynn Tiefenauer of Park Hills. Three grandchildren; Breven, Collin, and Halee.
