Obituary for Donald Gene Dinkins Donald Gene Dinkins of Ironton, MO passed away at his home on June 27, 2018 at the age of 74 years, 3 months, and 21 days. He was born on March 6, 1944 in Ironton, a son of the late Raymond and Mary Louise Funk Dinkins. On June 20, 1970 Don was united in marriage to his loving wife Diane Pehl Dinkins who survives.

To this union two children were born; Deborah Akins of St. Louis, and Dana and husband Jack Windes of St. Clair. Also Surviving Don are one brother Gerald and wife lynn Dinkins of Annapolis, two sisters; Uyvonne and husband Thomas Huddleston of Farmington, Donna and husband Garry West of Fredericktown, five. grandchildren; Caleb, Emmi, Joshua, Skyler, and Makenzie, and a host of many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Preceding him in rest are his parents, a brother Clyde Dinkins, and a sister Doris Dinkins who passed away at infancy. Don was a 1962 graduate of Fredericktown High School. He also served his Country proudly in the United States Army National Guard.

For many years Don worked construction in St. Louis, he was an amazing contractor and took pride in his work in the community. He also drove for Polite Ready Mix for many years in the area. Don was a member of the A.V. Country Club and was a member of the Iron Mountain Baptist Church.

His hobbies included racing, building some of the most beautiful classic cars, taking vacations, playing poker, and spending time with his family. Funeral services for Don are pending at this time.
