He was born May 13, 1980 in Farmington, MO to George H. and Marilyn (Wray)Treaster. On August 13, 2014 Greg was united in marriage to his loving, caring, and devoted wife Alecia Frei who survives and carries on his memory.

Greg graduated from Arcadia Valley High School where he thrived in academics and music; he was the best clarinet player we have ever had. After high school Greg attended and graduated from Mid America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, Indiana. While in high school, Greg had more friends than he ever knew.

His laugh, smile, sense of humor and kind soul was like a magnet to others. His passion for music, his love for race cars, his loyalty to loved ones and friends, his involvement in the American Cancer Society and the Relay for Life, and his respect for fellow morticians and the funeral industry were just a pinch of what made Greg such an amazing person. Over the last few years as he was battling his illness, Greg and Alecia were able to travel and see his friends and family all over.

He wasn’t going to sit and let it overtake him, he got out and celebrated his life each and every day. Even as he was in pain, he had that bright and heartwarming smile no matter what was happening. Greg loved his high school, his hometown, his friends, his family, and especially his wife, Alecia.

Greg is survived by his beautiful and loving wife Alecia, his parents George and Marilyn Treaster, four cousins; Matthew Treaster of St. Louis, Jared Treaster of Farmington, Jennifer Martin of Potosi, and Jake Martin, Jr. of Leadinton, his father-in-law Russell Frei, Vernal, Utah, three brothers-in-law; Brandon Frei of Salt Lake City, Utah, Jakob Frei of Salt Lake City, Utah and Joshua Frei of Salt Lake City, Utah, one sister-in-law Heather Jensen, Vernal, Utah, his aunts and uncles; Tom Treaster of St. Louis and Linda Treaster of Farmington and Jake and Joyce Martin of Doe Run and many other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at his home church, Stouts Creek Baptist Church on September 29th at 11am.
