Laura Jo “Jody” Calvert Whitney, 73, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at her residence. The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker and former employee of a local nursing home. She was a daughter of the late John D. Calvert and Hester Rene Harrison Calvert.

She is survived by 1 son: Tracy Whitney, Scottsville, KY; 1 brother: Frankie D. Calvert and wife, Sarah, Scottsville, KY; A special friend: Dorothy Hunter, Scottsville, KY; 2 granddaughters: Harley Whitney and Paulina “Gracie” Whitney; 1 great granddaughter: Aubree Whitney and Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers: James, Arnold, Earl, Onie and Don Calvert; 3 sisters: Sarah Frances Whitney, Virginia Powell and Mae Armfield; and 1 step son: Bobby Daniel Cooper. Graveside service will be 12 noon Thursday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
