Laura Rodriguez January 17, 1973 – January 20, 2019 Our beautiful, strong loved one gained her wings and went to Heaven. She fought a very tough, fast fight with cancer and God just had to give her peace and take the excruciating pain from her life by holding her in his loving arms and by taking her to a much better life with him. Laura Rodriguez, 46 was called home to Eternal Rest on Sunday, January 20, 2019.

She was born on January 17, 1973 in Corpus Christi, Texas to parents, Vicky and Daniel Rivera. Laura lived in LaPorte, Texas and graduated from Deer Park High School. She attended Southwest University in San Marcos, Texas.

In addition to accounting, she graduated into the cosmetology field in which she found much pleasure and joy as a cosmetologist. The love of her life were her two beautiful daughters, Myranda and MaKayla Rodriguez. Above all things Laura enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She especially enjoyed her roles as FFA mother alongside her daughter, MaKayla and her role as Dance Mom for her daughters Myranda and MaKayla. Laura was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Jesus and Albina Romero, Corpus Christi, Texas and her paternal grandparents, Francisco and Bibiana Rivera, also from Corpus. In addition, she was preceded in death by her loving cousins, Gabriela (Gabby) Romero and Cynthia (Cindy) Alford.

Laura is survived by Michael Rodriguez, her two precious daughters, Myranda and MaKayla Rodriguez. She is also survived by her parents, Vicky and Daniel, sister, Vivian (Stephen) Fitch, Pasadena, Texas and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends and family at the visitation which will be held at St Hyacinth Roman Catholic Church, 2921 Center St., Deer Park, Texas on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 9:00 am-10:30 am.
