Laurean Bentzoni, April 11, 1938 — May 17, 2019

Laurean’s Obituary Laurean F. Bentzoni, 81, of Stroudsburg, died early Friday morning, May 17, 2019, at Pleasant Valley Manor in Hamilton Township. She was the widow of Harold A. “Ben” Bentzoni, Sr., who died February 5, 1999. Born on April 11, 1938 in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Howard R. and Jeannette (Morgan) Flagler.

Her family were direct descendants of Daniel Brodhead. She was a lifetime resident of Monroe County, graduated from Stroudsburg High School, and attended Centenary Jr. College. In her early years she worked at her family’s business, Flagler’s Drug store on Main Street in Stroudsburg, until its closing.

Later she was a teaching aide for Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 in the Stroudsburg schools. She was a member of Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, Stroudsburg Jr. Women’s Club, and DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). Laurean was a NASCAR and Penn State fan.

Surviving are two sons, Harold A. “B.J.” Bentzoni,Jr. and his daughters Shelby and Elena; as well as Kyle Flagler Bentzoni, his wife Kelly, and their son Andrew, all of Stroudsburg. She is also survived by her sister, Diane Flagler of Florida; three sisters in law: Joan Bentzoni and Bea Bentzoni both of Stroudsburg, and Kim Bentzoni of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Friday, May 24th, from the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg; with viewing beginning at noon followed by the funeral service at 2:00PM. Burial will follow at Stroudsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to AWSOM (Animal Welfare Society of Monroe), P.O.
