Lavonne Reue February 23, 1938 – January 04, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Lavonne Miller Reue, age 80, died on January 4, 2019 in Dripping Springs, Texas after battling many illnesses over 40 years. She was born to the late Paul August and Alexa Lenora (Werchan) Miller in Marlin, Texas on February 23, 1938. After the death of her father, she moved with her Mother to Brenham, Tx.

and graduated from Brenham High School. Lavonne met the love her life, Franklin Reue, in Brenham, Tx. They were married on May 25, 1958 and began a marriage that lasted until his untimely death from Leukemia in 1998.

Lavonne and Frank bought a home at 4319 Marlborough in Houston, Tx. in the early 1960’s where they met neighbors who became life long friends. Lavonne lived there until her declining health caused her to move to Austin to be near her daughter.

Lavonne began a career with Blue Bell Creameries in 1982 which lasted until her retirement in 2012. Lavonne and Frank were active with their daughters in St. Mark Lutheran Church and and school. While Lavonne enjoyed her friends and her career with Blue Bell, the true joys of her life were her daughters, their families and her grandchildren.

Lavonne was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Clyde James Miller and Gene Arnold Miller, her husband Frank Reue, and her son in law Craig Miller. She is survived by her daughters Michele Miller, Kimberly Yadlowsky and her husband Paul, grandchildren Avery Miller, Addison Miller and Aysa Yadlowsky, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of Lavonne’s life will be held at St Matthew’s Lutheran Church on Wednesday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m. with internment following the service.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Fuelberg, Don Holtkamp, Addison Miller, Avery Miller, Joel Roehling, Stacey Roehling, Kent Willis and Aysa Yadlowsky. Honorary pallbearers are John Carter, Roger Ellermann and Bennie Fuelberg. Memorial Oaks Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

The family wishes to thank Hospice, Sodalis Memory Care, Austin Geriatric Specialists and Ledgestone Assisted Living for the kind care they gave Lavonne. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to St Matthew Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill.
