Mrs. Lee Anna Hilliard, 70, wife of George Washington Hilliard and a resident of Parksley, VA, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Heritage Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born February 18, 1948 in Welsh, WV, she was a daughter of Lee Ann Burke Meekins of South Carolina and the late Marshall Alvin Baldwin. Lee retired from Virginia Beach Public Schools, where she worked in food services for many years.

She loved all animals, especially turtles, and enjoyed bird watching and feeding stray cats. Lee looked forward to long walks on the beach, often collecting sea shells during her travels, and was an avid reader of her Bible. Lee was a longtime member of the Guilford United Methodist Church and was devoted to her Lord and to her beloved family.

In addition to her husband of nearly 56 years, she is survived by her three children, Virginia Ann Glitch of Norfolk, VA, Shelly Jo Rankin and husband Gary of Virginia Beach, VA, and George Marshall Hilliard and wife Paulajean of Bloxom, VA; three sisters, Helen, Cindy, and Kelly; two brothers, Larry and Jackie; four grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Brent, and Matthew; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephew Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel at the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverend Hyeon Ho Lee and Mr. George Fulk officiating. Interment will follow in the Guilford United Methodist Church Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Guilford UMC, 25460 Shoremain Drive, Bloxom, VA 23308. Memory tributes may be shared with the family at www. williamsfuneralhomes.com.
