Isaac Leon Allen was born on April 24, 1930, in Ringling, Oklahoma, to George Washington and Nelly Bell (Parker) Allen. He passed away on Monday, May 7, at the age of 88. Family visitation is scheduled for Thursday, May 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.

Funeral service is scheduled for Friday, May 11, at 10:00 A.M. at Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. in the Dixie Cemetery near Ringling.

Services are under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home. Leon attended schools in Ringling and Mt. Home.

He served in the U.S. Army for almost 4 years during which time he served in the Korean War in the 1st and 7th Calvary. He was decorated as an Army Ranger. He married Ruby Jean Martin.

They had four children, Jimmie, Sandra, Linda, and Terry. He was employed by International Harvester as a service writer. Leon enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

He liked taking care of his gun collection and tending to his cattle. His favorite pastime was drinking coffee. Leon is survived by his children, Jimmie Leon and wife Deborah Allen of Forney, Texas, Sandra Jeanne and husband James Herring of Empire, Linda Denise and husband Steve Bird of Waco, and Terry Glen Allen of Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jean, in 2004. Pallbearers will be James Herring, Mark Griffin, Jim Grisham, Marvin Herring, Gary Woods, and Marty Covalt. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmie Allen, Terry Allen, Steve Bird, Darin Arnold and Dewayne Griffin.

Memorial contributions may be made in Leon’s name to the Western Heights Baptist Church, 2305 W. Beech Avenue, Duncan, OK 73533. Online condolences may be made to the family at www. whittfh.com.
