Leona C. Cooper 87, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday May 19, 2018 at her home. She was born on September 21, 1930 in Allock, KY to Robert L. and Pauline Grimes Collins. She was a retired custodian for Greater Clark County Schools, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post 1427 and the Charlestown Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Walter Hubbard, Gene Knight, W. G. Cooper, SR; daughter, Edith Woods-Beaven; grandsons, Robbie and Bryan Spriggs and 3 siblings. Leona is survived by her sons, Jim Knight (Barbara) of Otisco, IN and Paul Knight (Jerri Lynn) of Underwood, IN, daughters, Betty Sue Galbraith (David) of Columbus, GA and Jerry Backherms of Charlestown; grandchildren, Scotty Woods (Amber), Joshua Knight (Christy), Jeremiah Knight (Jessica), Krystal Mount, Tyler Knight (Emily), Kayla Jo Roberts (Matt), Jaclyn Campbell (Walter), Jolena Lavene, Tony Ray, Zachary Knight (Carli) and Kimberly Knight (Cory); 14 Great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday and after 9 am on Wednesday.
