Lidia J. (DaVanzo) DelleDonne, 95, of Vandergrift, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at AHN- Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Born March 7, 1923 in Export, she was a daughter of the late Jack Laguna and Bianca DaVanzo. Lidia lived in Vandergrift since 1963, worked as a secretary at Westinghouse for a time, and as a school crossing guard in Vandergrift, retiring in 1990.

She was a member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church and its Ladies Auxiliary. Lidia was a member… Read More » of, and served as an officer at the Vandergrift Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and music.

But Lidia most loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. DelleDonne, who passed away on May 24, 2006; sister, Mary Haluck; and a brother, Lou DaVanzo. Lidia is survived by her children, Jacquelyn M. (William) Oplinger of Allegheny Township, Mark A. DelleDonne of Murrysville; grandsons, Neal M. & William N. Oplinger of Allegheny Township; and nieces & nephews, including her nephews, Joel (Lisa) Haluck of Greensburg, and Jimmy Haluck of Florida.

Friends will be received on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Brady-Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 429 Franklin Ave. Vandergrift. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Vandergrift, with Father James Loew, O.S.B. as celebrant.

Private interment in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, at the convenience of the family.
