Zane M. Steele, Sr., 88, of Kiski Township passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, PA. Born on September 7, 1929 in South Fork, PA, he was a son of the late McClellen and Mary Steele. Zane lived in Kiski Township most of his life, and worked as a brakeman for Conrail out of the Kiski Junction for 35 years, retiring in 1994.

(Deemer) Steele of Kiski Township; sons, Zane (Glory) Steele, Jr. of Kiski Township; Daniel (Vivian) Steele of Elderton; Mark (Cindy) Steele of Elderton; daughter, Tammy (Kirk) Seddon of Kiski Township; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sisters, Edna Baustert of North Carolina; Jean (Shelby) Beard of Georgia; Joan (Jim) Winger of Maryland and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 13th from 6-8 p.m. in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Avenue, Apollo. Additional visitation will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, April 14th from 9:30 until the Celebration of Life Tribute Service at 10:30 a.m. Please join the family as the honor Zane’s life Contributions may be made in Zane’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1100 Liberty Avenue, Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222-4240.
