James William Hoak Sr. 67 of Vandergrift passed away Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights. He was born September 27, 1950 in Apollo the son of the late Harold (Sr. ) and Ada Brink Hoak.

Before his retirement he was employed as a printer by trade. He loved to golf, travel, long walks, playing on the computer, and visiting with family and friends. He especially enjoyed his time living in Arizona.

Jim will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and partner. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his fiancé Cheryl Beatty, three sons; James Hoak Jr. and his wife Sheila of California, Russell Hoak (Victoria Ramigh) of East Vandergrift, and Justin Hoak and his wife Crystal of Leechburg, his stepchildren; Charles Beatty (Kim Dickey) of Vandergrift, Connie Brown (Chris Geiger) of Shady Plain, Chandra Rua (John Kunkle) of Leechburg, Calvin Beatty (Dina Monar) of Vandegrift, and 21 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step father Jack Bokholt, a brother, Harold Hoak Jr. and a sister, Helen Lawrence. Family will receive friends on Friday June 22, 2018 from 5:00 P.M -8:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 1916 Moore Ave. North Apollo.

Services will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating. Interment will be held in Pleasant View Cemetery, Leechburg.
