Obituary for Lillian Frances Rundle Lillian “Lil” Frances Rundle, 85, of Fort Collins, Colorado, died peacefully in her home, Friday, April 13, 2018, surrounded by her friends and family. Lil was born February 8, 1933 in Humphrey, Nebraska to Joseph and Amelia (Hamling) Wieser. In 1947, her family settled on a farm outside Peetz, Colorado.

She and her other nine siblings, six brothers and three sisters, helped to care for and build the Wiser legacy. As a young adult, Lil left home for a short time to attend Barnes Bussiness College in Colorado Springs. She later moved back home to Peetz to care for her ailing mother and to help raise her younger brothers.

It was there she met her future husband, Seargent Major Laurence Rundle, who was on leave from the United States Army. Laurence Rundle and Lillian (Wieser) Rundler were married on September 17, 1962 in Peetz, Colorado. They lived many places in the states and abroad before moving to Makaha, Hawaii in1972.

They enjoyed their time together on the island of Oahu raising their daughters Leah and Leilani. After Larry’s death in 1981, Lil moved her family to Fort Collins, Colorado. In 1985, she met Robert “Bob” Carrera and from then on they were an inseparable team.

Bob and Lil shared many things over their 33 year relationship. Golf, the Rockies and bridge filled their days together. Lil was an active, energetic woman that could bowl a 200 game and who achieved the Club Championship at Collindale Golf Course.

She enjoyed regular bridge games and was very proud of her beautiful garden. Her many friends and family were a big part of her life as well as her faith, being an active member of St. Joseph’s Church. As a mother, she cared not only for her own children, but for all of their friends too.

Her door and heart were always open and she was loved and admired by many. Lil will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Lil is survived by two daughters, Leah Taylor of Loveland and Leilani Rundle of Fort Collins; two granddaughters, Jordan Davis and Lillian Sizemore; three grandsons, Gage Taylor, Cole Ortiz and Hudson Erskine; brothers David Wieser, Ronald Wieser and Donald Wieser; sister, Dorothy Nelson; as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Mareella Bouldin, sister Genevieve Fehringer, brother Mark Wieser, brother Robert Wieser, and brother Maynard Wieser.
