Obituary for Lillian “Lil” Ruska Conway…. . Lillian “Lil” Ruska 82, of Conway died suddenly Friday at Grandstand Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold with whom she shared more than 59 years of marriage. Born in Hancock, MI. Lil was the daughter of the late Samuel and Katri Mikkola.

She was a member of Holy Lamb Lutheran Church in Myrtle Beach where she was active in prayer ministry, Bible study, children’s ministry and providing rides and visits for sick and shut-ins. Lil, always compassionate, placed the needs of others before her own. She was known as the neighborhood watch dog and animal sitter.

A life like Lil Ruska’s leaves a lasting fingerprint upon those she has touched and her legacy won’t be forgotten. Lil leaves a son Harold Jr. and his wife Cherie of Myrtle Beach; daughter Kristin Messina and her husband Bart of PA; Grandchildren Laura, Hal III, Faith, Jessica Ruska, Madison Messina and her church family. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 5, at 3:00 PM at Holy Lamb Church, 2541 Forestbrook Road, Myrtle Beach SC.

Visitation at the church from 2:00 PM until service time. At the request of the family, contributions in Lil’s name may be sent to the church at the above address. Services will conclude with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery.
