Lillian A. Douglas, 85 of Glen Carbon, IL passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Eden Village in Glen Carbon. Lillian was born on July 22, 1932 in Glen Carbon, IL; the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Peila) Nicolussi. Lillian was the Assistant Director at Coordinated Youth Services in Granite City for 33 years and a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Glen Carbon.

In Lillian’s free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be remembered for all the special times they shared together. Lillian is survived by and will be missed by her husband; Edward A. Douglas, whom she married on February 23, 1951; brother, Joseph Nicolussi of Maryville, IL; sister, Gail Nicolussi of Staunton, IL; niece, Velva Stewart of Glen Carbon, IL; numerous nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews and many other close family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon.

In celebration of Lillian’s life, services will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Glen Carbon City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
