Linda’s Obituary Linda Jean (Sherman) Roberge, age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday January 14, 2019. Linda was born December 9, 1940 in Brewer, Maine to Linwood Sherman and Marjorie (Lord) Sherman. She met the love of her life, Richard Roberge, and married on September 23, 1961.

Linda and her husband moved to South Portland where they raised their family. After raising her children, Linda worked for several Portland area companies and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield in 2009. Linda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Hawaii and the Finger Lakes wine region in New York. She also enjoyed knitting, reading, needlework and most of all, spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her parents, a brother Clyde (Butch) Sherman and a sister Betty Ann Abbott.

She is survived by her beloved husband Richard; son David Roberge of Biddeford, daughter Debra Roberge of Falmouth and granddaughter Haley Roberge of Gorham. The family would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Braun and Dr. Darus along with their dedicated staff. Our family is truly grateful for the level of care and compassion provided to our mother.

A private graveside service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can made in Linda’s memory to: Maine Medical Center Cancer Institute, 100 Campus Drive, Scarborough, Me 04074.
