Linda Marie Harp February 19, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Linda Marie Harp, 73, of Roanoke Rapids, died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Transitions Hospice in Raleigh. Miss Harp was a Halifax County native, born April 24, 1945 and a daughter of James O. and Frances Gay Harp. A homemaker, in her earlier years she enjoyed Cardiofit and crocheting.

Miss Harp liked coloring, puzzles and word search books. She loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Miss Harp was a member of Community Free Will Baptist Church in Weldon.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary Frances Britt (Sidney) of Clayton, Savannah Ann Harp, Louise Flagg (Roy) all of Roanoke Rapids, and Betty Ward of Greenville; 10 nieces and nephews, and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends may visit with the family from 7:00 – 8:30 pm Friday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service, and at other times at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Community Free Will Baptist Church, with Pastor Larry Matthews presiding.
