Obituary for Lloyd G. VanNostrand Sr. Lloyd G. VanNostrand Sr, 72, entered into eternal rest on March 30, 2018 at Mountain Valley Hospice after a brief battle with cancer. His family meant the world to him and they were by his side until the very end. Lloyd was born at his family home in Mayfield on October 17, 1945 to the late Gordon and Arbutus VanNostrand.

He was raised in the area, attending Mayfield schools and raising his family there. He married Susan K. Dusenbury on May 8, 1965. Together they shared many years of happiness and memories with their children and extended family.

Survivors include his wife, Susan. Their 5 children; James VanNostrand (Bobbi) of Sacramento, CA. , Gordon VanNostrand (Taryn O’Brien) of Mayfield, Lori Holland (Ronald Jr), Scott VanNostrand (Trudy), Lloyd VanNostrand Jr (Toby) all of Gloversville.

His siblings Gail VanNostrand, Jerry VanNostrand, and Gloria Lowery (Alfred) all of Mayfield. 17 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his parents; his sister, Eleanor Tomlinson-Marcellus and infant brother, Roy VanNostrand.

Per the wishes of Lloyd, there will be no services. Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Northville Funeral Home.
