Lois Geneva Maxie Whatley Hagy age 85, of Atlanta, Texas went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 3, 2018 in a local hospital. Lois was born July 28, 1932 in Oil City, Louisiana to Raymond and Fairba Ridgeway Maxie. She was retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety; a member of the Church of Christ, McLeod, Texas and the Art League of Beaumont, Texas.

She is survived by one son, Dexter Whatley and wife Patsy of Bivins, Texas; a brother, Nolan Maxie and wife Jean of Conroe, Texas; sister, Dorothy Trainer Wilhite and husband Bill of Alexandria, Louisiana; daughter in law Dora Whatley of Bivins, Texas; grandchildren, Eric Whatley of Alba, Texas, Lora Moser and husband Casey of Leander, Texas, Buddy Whatley and wife Susan of Linden, Texas, Rodney Whatley and wife Nikki of Linden, Texas, Walt Whatley of Bivins, Texas, Justin Waites and wife Deanna of Lufkin, Texas, David Corley and wife Michelle of Tioga, Louisiana, Robert Corley of Tioga, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, Brynn Whatley, Blane Whatley, Ethan Whatley, Ada Whatley, Cora Whatley, Audrey Waites, Caddo Waites, Chase Moser, Connor Moser, Hannah Corley, Faith Corley, Austin Corley, Morgan Corley, Autumn Corley; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Dale Alexander officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Huffines Cemetery.
