Lois J. (Emero) Libro passed away peacefully with members of her family by her side at the Seacoast Nursing Home on Friday evening, December 21, 2018. After a lifetime of illnesses she was admitted to Seacoast two and one-half years ago. She was born on April 30, 1937 to Herbert and Elizabeth (Sasco) Emero.

She graduated from GHS in 1955 and was the loving wife of Vincent R. Libro for 58 years. She is survived by her children, Regina Marksteiner, Katherine, wife of Christopher Gentile, Ann, wife of Dan Murdock; a son Anthony Libro and her brother, Roland Emero. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kelsey, Erica and Caitlin Marksteiner, Christopher, Rory and Mikayla Gentile, Elizabeth Libro and Bryan Libro; great-grandchildren, Aurora, Jase and Letty.

Lois spent many happy years growing up around St. Peter’s Parish in East Gloucester and was a member of the choir and the Ladies Sodality. She was predeceased by her son, Michael; her sisters-in-law, Joyce and Ann Emero and her brothers, Robert and Donald Emero. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann’s Church, Holy Family Parish on Friday, December 28, at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.

The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester. For online condolences, please visit www.
