Obituary for Lorene Walker Lorene Walker May 6, 1922 – August 16, 2018 Lorene Walker born May 6, 1922, passed from this life at Christian Care Center in Texarkana TX, August 16, 2018, surrounded by her devoted grandchildren. She was 96 years old. Lorene is preceded in death by her parents Annais and Bennie Walker; sons Laurs Edward Walker and Charles Edward Walker; daughter Doris Epps Collier; brother Laurs Walker; and sister Larita Walker.

She is survived by her brother Leon Walker of Queen City TX; sisters Ovelia Lewis and husband Joe of Portland OR, Lennie Walker of Queen City TX, Vannie Richardson of Queen City TX, and Arthalia James and husband Elmer of Atlanta TX; 12 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. Lorene was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Lorene’s services will be under the care of Queen City Funeral Home. A visitation in her honor will be held Friday, August 24, 2018, beginning at 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM, at Queen City Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held the following morning beginning at 1:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Queen City TX. Lorene will be laid to rest at Chapelwood Cemetery in Nash TX immediately following funeral services. Digital condolences may be made in her honor at www.
