Obituary for Lorine Trantham Pressley Lorine Trantham Pressley, 86, of Stuart, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart, Virginia. She was born May 21, 1932 in Haywood County, North Carolina, to the late Newton Jasper Trantham and Cannie Elizabeth Alexander Trantham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev.

Grover Pressley and two brothers, Oscar and James Monroe “J.M.” Trantham. Mrs. Pressley worked for Avon where she was in the President’s Club for 20 years, enjoyed reading, working cross word puzzles, watching television, and was a member of Center Pigeon Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She attended New Covenant Fellowship in Bassett, and over the years she was a Sunday School teacher and was the church secretary.

Mrs. Pressley is survived by two sons, Neil Pressley and wife Mary Sue, Stevie Greene and wife Ann; daughter, Debbe Noonkester and husband Jay; sister, Clara Belle Lindsey; brother Loye Joseph Trantham, Sr.; granddaughter, Ruth Ann Johnson and husband Tony; and two great-grandsons, Dakota Ryan and Lucas Ian. The funeral for Mrs. Pressley will be at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Neil Pressley officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be private. The family would like to express special thanks to her devoted daughter-in-law, Mary Sue Pressley, who for many years provided her with loving tender care throughout her illness.

They also express special thanks to Blue Ridge Therapy Connection and Mountain Valley Hospice for their care given to Lorine. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Mountain Valley Hospice or to the Pressley Family. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the Pressley family.
