Obituary for Ronald Wayne McGee Ronald Wayne McGee, 52, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at his home. He was born July 25, 1966 in Winston Salem, North Carolina, to the late Rex Donald McGee and Phyllis Weddle McGee Altizer. He enjoyed coaching softball for Bassett Middle School, watching football and loved his family.

Mr. McGee is survived by daughters, Christy Barker and Misty Strader; son, David Manning; sister, Robin Hale; and grandchildren, Dominic Manning, Erik Manning, Hunter Shockley, Logan Shockley and Thomas Strader. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
