Obituary for Josephine Hairston Watkins Josephine Hairston Watkins, 79, of Martinsville, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Martinsville Rehab. She was born on January 11, 1939, to the late John Wise Hairston and Sallie Millner-Hairston. She was a member of Refuge Temple; she enjoyed watching television, and was an Atlanta Braves fan.

Mrs. Watkins is survived by her sisters, Sallie Hagwood, Rosie Morrison, and Mary Saunder; god-daughter/niece, TaWanda Dodson; and special friend, Phyllis Scales. The funeral will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 2:00 PM, at Refuge Temple Ministries with Minister Alan Preston officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.

Burial will follow the service at Hairston Family Cemetery, Independence Drive, Martinsville. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family. On Line condolences may be made at www.
