Obituary for Loureta “Reta” Rogers Loureta “Reta” Jones Rogers, 88, of Cartersville, went to meet her Lord on July 28, 2018 at Cartersville Medical Center. Reta was born on March 31, 1930 in Waleska; she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee Jones and the late Ethel Fields Jones. Reta was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church in White.

Loureta Jones and Ben Rogers were married on December 19, 1953, and the couple enjoyed forty-six years as man and wife until Ben passed away on June 16, 1999. In addition to her parents and husband, Reta was preceded in death by her brother, Reverend James M. Jones of Waleska. Reta is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of close friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Michael Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, on Thursday from 12 noon until the hour of service. Private interment will be in Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery.
