Lowell’s Obituary Lowell Thomas Smith, 85 of McGehee passed away January 27, 2019 in McGehee, he was a former resident of Dumas. Born February 27, 1933 at Prescott, Arkansas, he served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a retired truck driver and mechanic. His two brothers, Berlin Smith and Otha Smith and three sisters, Mildred Mower, Helen Fouts and Charlene Sossamon and one grandson, Brian Morgan, also his companion of 20 + years Geneva Stewart.

Survivors are his brother, Hermy Smith of Indiana, first wife, Dollie Smith of Indiana and five children, George (Joey) Graycochea of Florida, Geraldine Smith Morgan Phillips of New Hope, AR, George Smith of Indiana, Debra Smith Hueber of Indiana and David Smith of Indiana, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation held prior to funeral on February 2, both held at Griffin Funeral Home, visitation from 1-3 P.M., services at 3 P.M. with Rev. Scott Gilbreth and burial in Walnut Lake Cemetery.
