Obituary for Mrs. Lucille Adams Cook Lucille Adams Cook, 86, died on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 at Jersey Shore Medical Center. She was born on January 11th,1932 in Georgia, moving to New Jersey in 1938. She attended the Long Branch school systems, graduating in 1950.

Her love for music and children lead her on the path to her extensive career in education. She taught and touched the lives of a multitude of children completing her service in the education system in 1996. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Willie and Elizabeth Adams, parents L.C. and Savannah Adams brothers, Willie Adams and Robert Collins and sister, Mary Jane Moore.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, James A. Cook, her 5 children, Bruce, Bryan, Brenda, Bart and Brigina, a host of grand and great grandchildren and other family and friends. Family and friends are invited to a 6-8pm viewing Friday, May 4, 2018 at Ely Funeral Home and a 9:30am-10:30am viewing & 10:30am-11:30am service at Trinity AME Church in Long Branch on Saturday, May 5, 2018 followed by a entombment at Monmouth Memorial Park Cemetery in Tinton Falls.
