Obituary for Lucille R. Massie Lucille R. Massie, 94, of Kingsford, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Evergreen Assisted Living. Lucille was born on February 3, 1924 in Iron Mountain, Michigan, daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Hoffman) McAuliffe. She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1942 and was a lifelong resident of the area.

Lucille married Alphonse Massie at St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Kingsford. She worked for Michigan Bell as a telephone operator for several years. Lucille was a member of St. Mary Queen of Peace Church, the Daughters of Isabella and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (G.F.W.C.

). She is survived by a sister, Margaret “Peg” St. Louis of Kingsford; and several nieces and nephews: Patty McAuliffe, Michael (Barb) McAuliffe, Maureen (C.P.) Burke, Laurie McAuliffe, John (Ruth) McAuliffe, Katie (Randy) Hendrickson, Tom (Chris) St. Louis, Scott (Tanya) St. Louis and Chris (Mark) Armstrong. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonse Massie in 1986; and two brothers, Joe McAuliffe and George McAuliffe.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the Erickson-Rochon Nash Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am at St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Fr.

Michael A. Woempner will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park. Condolences may be expressed to the family of Lucille R. Massie online at www.
